S3, Sculpted Songs from Scripture is an original collaborative project to present wearable sculptures created by Stephanie Lael Barrick in a multidimensional stage presentation. The content of the wearable art comes from songs in the Christian Holy Bible, God’s written Word. The goal is to creatively worship Jesus Christ by presenting His Word back to Him in visual art, music, dance, and technology. Those interested in collaborating or financially supporting this project are invited to keep reading, contact Stephanie, and sign up for updates.

Collaborators needed

Musical composer

All music in this project will be original and will use Scripture for the lyrics. Multiple composers are preferred for the whole project to vary styles within the body of work. However, a Music Composition Coordinator is needed to coordinate all of the music composition for the project including communication with composers and musical transitions between songs. The Music Composition Coordinator may compose one or more of the songs. A choir will accompany soloists who will be wearing the sculptures. A reputable, experienced Music Director has assembled an adult community choir, in the Newark, Delaware area, that will provide the musical performers.

AI musical composer

A Music Composer with experience in the use of Artificial Intelligence in music composition is needed to collaborate with Stephanie Lael Barrick. The song would be composed by both collaborators using AI and fine tuned by the Composer.

Sound engineer/music producer

A Sound Engineer is needed to record and edit the audio file used for the video. Computer generated sounds may be used in addition to musical instruments and voices. Since the choir is located in Newark, Delaware, the recording should take place within a reasonable distance.

choreographer

For the first song there will be 6 dancers who will be recruited and taught by the Choreographer (who may also be a dancer). Stephanie Lael Barrick will create practice and performance costumes for each dancer. The choir will also have some movement choreographed.

dancers

Although dancers will be recruited by the Choreographer, feel free to express interest in dancing for this project. A minimum of 5 years dance experience is preferred. Two of the six female dancers for the first song need to be at least 5’6”, taller preferred.

Videographer and video editor

The individual song performances will be captured in video format, creatively edited including special effects, and released on YouTube. As each song is built, most will be released in video format until enough songs are completed to compile the full stage performance. The first video will be used to apply for grant funding to support the project.
